F18 sailing in Israël

We have had the chance to sail in Sdot Yam. The sailing club is located north of Tel Aviv, at about 45 minutes drive.
The sailing club has a very dynamic youth program, which makes that you have movement in the sailing club every day of the week. On the parking, you will find approximately 60 beach catamarans, mostly F18's. There is a group of enthousiast sailors who join every weekend (in Israel friday - saturday) to sail and race together.

Even during their winter, teperatures are between 15 and 20 degrees and water is hot enough to sail in a 3/2mm wetsuit!
On most days, they have between 5 to 10 F18's sailing together. They also organise some nice races with approximately 20 to 30 catamarans. Their biggest events are two raids: one to the north where they sail past Haifa, and another to the south.

If you are ever going to visit one of the beautiful cities in Israel, such as Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, don't hesitate to let us know so we can put you in touch with the local sailors. They will welcome you with open arms in their sailing club and you will probably be able to join one of them on the water.
